We are "GRO55" School of Music! 


Whether you desire to learn new skills, develop your talents, relieve stress, find enjoyment, pursue higher education or work within the industry, Gro55 School of Music is where you can grow roots, build a strong foundation, and develop success in music.


We offer private 1:1, group, in-studio, travel and online lessons in multiple instruments to all ages, at all levels. We use unique and highly personalized methods of teaching, creating an environment to nurture, educate and encourage creative individuals to achieve their music goals. We also provide music production services for individuals wanting to create and record their own music. We are dedicated to sharing our expertise to educate, guide, inspire and grow, both personally and professionally in music.

The "5 specialized studies of music" are:

VOCAL music - We offer voice lessons and vocal coaching.

INSTRUMENTAL music - We offer instruction in piano, violin, ukulele, guitar, percussion (and more) - just ask!

GENERAL music - We offer opportunities for students to explore instruments and music just for FUN.

- Music TECHNOLOGY - We offer instruction in music production & engineering. Students learn to use technology to write, create, and produce music. We also offer studio production services via Gro55 Productions.

- Music THEORY - We teach students music theory skills that allow them to analyze works of composers, be able to read music, transcribe solos, figure out the formal structure of pieces, and more!

ABOUT US

Gro55 School of Music was created by Otto and Jayna Gross; two Berklee College of Music sweetheart graduates in music education, professional music, and music production and engineering. Collectively, they have been teaching, sharing their gifts, and impacting others with the joy, passion, and love of music for over 20+ years. They have expanded their Gro55 brand to incorporate the talent of other incredible musicians, artists, and friends who continue to serve students of Gro55 School of Musc with excellence and the highest quality of individualized training. Learning music should be FUN! And, you'll experience this mission in every lesson.

Gro55 School of Music offers in-studio, travel, group, and online lessons. We are a source of music enrichment for students of all ages. We teach beginners, intermediate, advanced, professionals, adults, and students in home-schooled, public, private, charter school, and college-level settings. We offer music services in voice (coaching/training/vocal techniques), instrumental (piano, violin, guitar, ukulele, drums etc), general music, music theory, music technology, music production + engineering, and performance (just to name a few).  It brings us great joy to share our music knowledge and experience with others! JAYNA GROSS

Jayna Gross is a cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music with a dual degree in Music Education and Music Production & Engineering. She has taught and enhanced many school and church music programs as Fine Arts Director, Choral Director, Vocal Coach, Vocal Director and Music Teacher in choral, general, instrumental, and orchestral music classes. She has toured internationally with Gospel artists as vocal director and singer, before making "Music City" Nashville, TN her home. Jayna has invested her education and experience in schools around Nashville such as Brentwood Academy, Lighthouse Christian School, St. Paul Christian Academy, and now Nashville Classical Charter School. She is the proud owner and CEO of Gro55 School of Music and is honored to continue serving families locally and internationally through Gro55 School of Music.

OTTO GROSS II

Otto Gross II is a cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Education and Professional Music.
As a musician, his hands have performed on stages with various artists of different kinds including multi-Grammy® Award legends Bobby McFerrin, David Sanborn, and CeCe Winans. As a musical director, Otto has toured countries in Europe, The Middle East and the U.S., leading musicians and vocalists in performances of all sorts with his rhythmically animated personality and engaging quirky style.
As an artist and educator, Otto combines a knowledge of pedagogy with exceptional skill in captivating children and adults. He often does workshops, performances and assemblies across the country where he interacts with audiences of all sizes, inspiring a new excitement for music, education, and life. Otto has a deep passion to see people connect with music no matter their background and is always inspired to spread that passion everywhere he goes.

SEANY DENSON

Seany Denson is a praise and worship leader, inspirational singer, and recording artist based in Nashville, TN. A native of Newark, Delaware, Seany is a fifth-generation minister's kid who practically was born in the church, where she started singing as a child. This path eventually later led her to become part of choirs and praise & worship teams while living in Georgia & Tulsa, Oklahoma (where she attended Oral Roberts University). Seany is featured on the worship song "Vessels of Honor" by Dan Amerine (2019), Nashville Life Music's latest album "Here for Jesus" (2020), and has provided live bgvs for artists like CeCe Winans, Chrissy Metz, and more. She looks forward to serving Gro55 School of Music clients and sharing her industry experience and musical education.

JONATHAN WYNN

Jon Wynn is a skilled pianist and producer based in Nashville, TN. Jon grew up in church and started playing drums at a very young age in the church band. His passion for teaching others the beauty of music comes from his personal experience and seeing the impact that music can have on a child as well as adults. He has over 15 years of experience working within the realms of Gospel, Jazz, Hip-hop, and R&B. Combine that with his knowledge and experience in music production and it’s easy to see what would lead him to train individuals to explore and expand their musical abilities. He looks forward to serving Gro55 School of Music clients and helping them to discover their untapped music potential while reaching new heights of success on the journey.

DAMARRA UNDERWOOD

DaMarra is a Singer, Songwriter, and Teacher native of Pittsburgh, PA. She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Howard University in 2014 & during her time there, was apart of the Howard Singers, Howard University Choir, and Howard Gospel Choir. DaMarra is also a charter member of the Mu Phi Epsilon International Professional Music Fraternity Inc. Zeta Xi chapter and has earned her Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management. She's a highly skilled vocalist who has sang for BET's Bobby Jones Gospel, Preach the Word Network, and has performed at the white house for President and First lady Michelle Obama. As an Independent Artist, DaMarra released her first CD at the age of 16, which is being sold internationally entitled "Ol Skool Gospel." She later put out various singles entitled "Let 'em Know", "Nothing Without You", and "Inside Job." Her music is featured on 70 Gospel Radio Stations around the country including Sirius XM Satelite Radio and has been downloaded in Japan, Europe, Canada, Australia, Indonesia & USA. DaMarra has several years of success and working in education. She is overjoyed to share her expertise and experience with Gro55 School of Music families and clients.

RACHEL JEFFERSON

Rachel Jefferson is from Chicago, Illinois, where she grew up singing and playing piano in school and church. She moved to Nashville, TN, to further her education at Middle Tennessee State University, studying classical voice. Rachel has been teaching private music lessons for over 10+ years and has worked with musicals and ensembles all over TN,  at Barefoot Republic Camp and community centers. She found a love for teaching music to students of all ages, backgrounds, and levels. Rachel personalizes every session to meet the needs of students and graciously focuses on areas in which the student has the potential to improve. Her easy-going, flexible, and kind-hearted nature helps her to build relationships and bond with each of her students as she guides and mentors them towards excellence. She seeks out the most effective way to develop each students' craft by watching how they learn and establishing individualized learning experiences to build strong technical music skills. Rachel Jefferson is happy to serve Gro55 School of Music clients and offers in-person studio and travel-to-you lessons.
